when did you get contacted by the midwife after you were referred by the GP/Nurse?

I went to the nurse at my GP surgery for my pregnancy confirmed and it was so different than my first pregnancy (I was pregnant in the United States and is also supplied). Here in the UK the nurse said she had my reference to the local midwife team would contact me and gave me a sheet with their phone number in case I start bleeding or other problems to ask you something else, I just wait until they have contacted by post, somewhere between 12 and 17 weeks of pregnancy. I wonder if it is routine, or just particular the set of the midwives that I have mentioned (near London). Last pregnancy I had a scan at 7 weeks and then to 9.5 weeks and luckily we saw / heard the heartbeat for the second search. Now of course I do not know if I can scan through all the nerves and what. I'm very early in my second pregnancy (4 weeks 5 days) and is fully aware that anything can happen in the first 12 weeks, so it's understandable that I can not see someone for 12 weeks at least, I think it's pretty vague and had several tests were conducted on how states before the stage of 17 weeks suggests that free time that midwives can call for an analysis. I also just go to the pharmacy and get prenatal vitamins and choose a brand that seemed well out of the box, but without specific information from the nurse, again mark the U.S. has been adapted for me to have had a thorough check of my special diet / etc needs just want to know if it's an experience similar to others or not, so I'm still so early in my pregnancy that I dare not ask friends who had children in the fear of Jinxing babynumber2. I realize that it is completely different health systems in the U.S. and Britain with the database of midwives are based, but in the U.S., I had an obstetrician / gynecologist because my pregnancy from start to delivery and postnatal I know that some differences are the difference between insurance vs NHS. To sum up then (if you really want to go through the neurotic long posts I've written read - thanks: 0)) I want to know: 1 Do you have a similar information meeting with less of your doc / nurse whose pregnancy has been confirmed? 2nd How long did you wait between the first visit to the doctor and to be contacted by midwives? 3rd Did the midwife to contact you or did you have to get InTouch with them? 4th I realize that it is completely different health systems in the U.S. and Britain with the database of midwives are based, but in the U.S., I had an obstetrician / gynecologist because my pregnancy from start to delivery and postnatal I know that some differences are the difference between insurance vs NHS.
